Easter is just around the corner. Do you know that a lot of items around your home can be used to make DIY Easter gifts? Making your own DIY Easter gifts is a great way to do DIY drafting at home. Make a lovely homemade basket that you can fill with DIY gifts, and it only takes a few minutes to make!
Let’s get started………….
Easter can offer you so many opportunities to have fun….!! Even if you don’t have special skills, you can create something special for your friends, family, kids and even for yourself……… 🙂 🙂
The gift basket:
Supplies:
- Half coconut shell
- Twine
- Super glue
- Scissors
Method:
Take the twine and measure how long you want the handle to be….. Then cut three pieces each of that length……
Now make a braid of the twine……
And stick it to the coconut shell with super glue……..
There you have your gift basket ready……. Hold on…… We will decorate it later……..
Let’s make some gifts for the basket…….!!
The bunny key chain:
Supplies:
- Plastic bottle
- Bunny template
- Marker
- Scissors
- Keyring with chain
- Nail paints
- Niddle
- Pom pom
- Super glue
Method:
Trace the bunny on the plastic bottle……
Cut out the bunny from the plastic bottle with the help of scissors…….
Take the niddle and heat it’s tip on flame and pierce a tiny hole in the ear at the top to attach the keyring………
Now paint it with nail color of your choice……. (apply two to three coats of nail color)
Let it dry……
After drying attach the pom pom as a tail with super glue to complete the bunny……
Now you just have to add the keyring with the jump ring through the hole you created……..
Isn’t it cute………… 🙂
The bunny pendant:
Supplies:
- M seal – I am using the Shilpkar M seal, you may use polymer clay instead of the M seal.
- Ball chain
- Loop head hook
- Cold cream
- Nail paints or acrylic paints
Method:
M seal consists of two parts
- Resin base
- Hardener
Take equal quantities of both parts……
Apply some cold cream on your palm and on the working surface too to prevent the sticking………. Mix them thoroughly to start the procedure……..
Tip: Before shaping it let it sit for few minutes as it is really very soft in beginning and does not retain the shape properly……. and is difficult to manage…… Letting it sit for five to six minutes allows it to harden a little bit making it easier to work with……
Make the face body and ears separately……. And then stick them together……
Before drying insert the loop head hook in place to attach the chain……
Now let it dry………. (it is a type of air drying clay and will harden completely within three hours depending upon the amount of M seal used)
After drying paint it with the nail paints or acrylic paints……….
Make the mouth and eye lashes……….
Then paint the ears………..
Finally attach the ball chain to the loop head hook……………
Finally let’s put everything together…….
It’s time to put everything together and make A Cute Easter Gift Basket……. Everyone will love to receive this as a present…………. 🙂 🙂
Hope you like it…………!!!
